I just came inside from checking my rain gauge. I already have over 5 inches (see photo).

Awesome!
I'm sitting on 4.04" in the last 24 hours, 3.11" since midnight, and 1.63" the last hour... and it's still raining pretty good.
My Davis weather station console just told me "It's raining cats and dogs."
Someone had a sense of humor! :-)

I submitted a heavy rain storm report to the NWS just a few minutes ago. That kind of rain is worthy of a report!

We just had a torrential downpour here. My gauge is showing above 6 inches now best I can tell. I'm heading out to take a photo and will upload it in just a few.

STARTING OUT WITH AN ACTIVE AFTERNOON WITH A TORNADO WATCH FOR MUCH
OF THE CWA AND THIS IS THE MAIN STORY FOR THE SHORT TERM. WARM FRONT
HAS LIFTED INTO NORTH GEORGIA...NORTH OF THE ATL TO AHN LINE. WEDGE
IS WORKING AGAINST THE WARM FRONT TO KEEP IT FROM PUSHING INTO
NORTHEST GA AT LEAST FOR NOW. THE MAJORITY OF THE CWA IS IN THE WARM
SECTOR WITH DEW POINTS IN THE LOW 70S. IN ADDITION...1500 TO 2000
J/KG OF SB CAPE HAS PUSHED INTO THE ATL AREA WITH AROUND 30KTS OF
LOW LEVEL SHEAR ACROSS MUCH OF THE CWA. THIS CONTINUES TO BE AN
ENVIRONMENT SUPPORTIVE OF ISOLATED TORNADOES AND DAMAGING WIND
HOWEVER ITS BEEN SLOW TO DEVELOP TODAY DUE TO THE DEEP MOISTURE
THROUGH THE MID LEVELS. ALTHOUGH ISOLATED SVR STORMS ARE POSSIBLE
WITHIN THE AREA OF SHOWERS CURRENTLY ACROSS THE CWA...ANOTHER AREA
OF CONCERN IS DEVELOPMENT OF STORMS WEST OF THIS LINE.

More rain headed our way. The low hasn't moved much further east and the band that brought us the heavy rain is still with us, bringing additional showers and thundershowers our way this evening. Looks like you'd better empty your gauge Kristi! Looks like the next round will put you over the limit!

"Hey - when does the global warming discussion start?"

It starts with the words VOLCANO and SUN. Don't blame your Grandmother and her Dodge Dart. She and the Dart has nothing to do with Climate Change or whatever it's being scammed as today. The Dodge nor Granny were around thousands of years ago. Perhaps the carbon footprint originated from dinosaur farts.

What a SCAM to further the destruction of America. Let's give up our freedom and wealth so Owl Gore can make Millions while the rest of the world utilizes Capitalism.

Why not Kim Il Sung 2012?

Best rain we've had in a while. The other day I was going to post something about the rain coming but I remembered what Tommy said about jinxing things so I refrained. Thanks Tommy! :-)
