The animals at the Athens Area Humane Society are joining in the Olympic games this year… the Paw-lympics, that is! Many of our adoptable dogs and cats have been awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze medals, and in return, they’ve received lower adoption fees through August 12, 2012! Visit the Adoption Center (191 Alps Rd. Ste. 15, Athens, GA 30606, in the back of Pet Supplies Plus) to see which cats won medals by the color of their collars, and visit http://www.athenshumanesociety.org/adoption/ to see which dogs won medals by their photos!
In celebration of the 30th Summer Olympics, the adoption fees for medal winners have been awarded in increments of $30. (Please note: Sponsorships cannot be combined with medal awards. In order to make a bigger impact, current sponsorships for adopted medal winners will be applied to future adoptable animals.)
Cat Adoption Event
- Gold Medalists Win $30 Adoption Fees
- Silver Medalists Win $60 Adoption Fees
- Bronze Medalists Win $90 Adoption Fees
Dog Adoption Event
- Gold Medalists Win $60 Adoption Fees
- Silver Medalists Win $90 Adoption Fees
- Bronze Medalists Win $120 Adoption Fees
(In order to encourage adoptions of our foster dogs, and therefore open foster homes to save more adoptable dogs, our re-homing dogs did not place in this year’s Paw-lympics—although they are superb paw-thletes!)

HEADS UP:
The following link doesn't work, either from here, or from the AAHS website:
www.AthensHumaneSociety.org/adoptions
From here you get a "404/Not Found" error, from the site you just get sent back to the front page. =(

Hi Pat,
If you go here, it should work: http://www.athenshumanesociety.org/adoption/
Looks like the "s" in adoptions was the problem. I'll edit in the post. Thanks!

Thanks, Stephanie, that's much better. They seem to have made the same mistake on their own website - hopefully they'll get that fixed up shortly as well!
