Oconee County Commissioners Approve Three-Sided Billboard for Epps Bridge Parkway, Relocation Of Billboard In Butler’s Crossing

The Oconee County Board of Commissioners Tuesday amended the agreement it had reached with Fairway Outdoor Advertising on July 24 to allow a proposed two-sided sign on Epps Bridge Parkway to become a three-sided sign.

It also voted to allow Fairway to approach the Board of Education to discuss placing the proposed Butler’s Crossing sign on school property.

As part of the agreement Tuesday, Fairway said it will remove another of its signs in the unincorporated part of the county and even let the county decide which sign can be removed.

The Epps Bridge Parkway sign was to be near Wal-Mart, but the new location being proposed is at the northwest corner of the Oconee Connector Extension and Epps Bridge Parkway.

For details of the changes in the sign agreement, as well as a new proposal on the River Walk on the Apalachee, go to Oconee County Observations.
