Goodness Gracious! GREENS!

Sigh.

Ya'll... I love turnip greens so much!  I do!

I learned to love them at the kitchen table of my precious grandparents in Woodland, GA.  To walk into their cozy yellow kitchen and smell turnip greens simmering on the stove, well, it was as close to heaven as I may ever get.

Now it's my husband who grows them in his picturesque garden and I pick 'em and cook 'em up.  I cook lots.  Big ole blue speckled pots full at the time.  We freeze the leftovers and have them year round.

I am convinced that turnip greens and mustard greens will cure any ailment.  They are packed with goodies for your body.

Next week, if you all behave yourselves, I will share my magical "Cream of Turnip Green Soup" with you.

But for now, check out my blog for the rest of the story, and after you read about greens scroll on down and pop into my "office" for a visit.

It's a lovely life....

Melissa, I also love turnip greens and mustard greens - memories of my Granny's kitchen in rural Virginia. Thanks for the nostalgia!
