US Congressman Paul Broun started his bus tour in Athens on May 21, 2012 at 10 am and arrived in Watkinsville at Harris Shoals Park on time for his second stop. About 40 supporters showed up and 4 reps from the media. He talked at length with each supporter on various topics - but mostly on Obama's Health Care Plan. Broun is an MD by training and is a much needed asset to the US Congress and he sees first hand the enormous expense and government control of one's health care this bill would be. However, he said citizens that are out of work might not care at all about their health care right now if they don't have a job or anyway to purchase health insurance. His focus will be on the economy and jobs, jobs, and jobs for constituents that are hurting economically.

I think this comment shows about the unemployed supposedly not caring about their health care is largely emblematic of how completely out of touch Dr. Broun remains
