Win Tickets to See Aurora Theatre's 'Sweet Charity'

Patch is giving away tickets to the Aurora Theatre's first show of its 17th season.

It's a new season for the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville. They're kicking off their 17th season with the Broadway classic "Sweet Charity." And Patch is joining the celebration by giving out four pairs of tickets for the show of your choice the weekend of Aug. 10.

Entering the contest is simple:

Leave a comment below telling us your favorite Broadway show by 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.

We'll then choose four winners at random from all of the entries. For complete rules and details, please see the PDF in our photo and media gallery.

"Sweet Charity" stars Rebecca Simon as Charity Hope Valentine, a young woman trying to make it and find love in New York City in the 1960s. The play also stars Canton, Ga., native Trent Blanton as all of Charity's love interests. The Neil Simon play opens Thursday, Aug. 2, and runs through Sunday, Sept. 2. Visit Aurora Theatre's website for more information about the play.

About 50 years ago I saw Richard Burton in MacBeth on Broadway. Added Bonus was seeing Elizabeth Taylor in the limo that picked him up after the show.

Being from New Jersey and having Frankie Valli live across the street from my cousins in Nutley, I just LOVED this show too. I saw it here at the Fox, not on Broadway. Tickets were impossible to get in NY the past 2 times I was up there. The traveling show was wonderful, but I don't think everyone in the audience got all the jokes, and inside references that only a New Jerseyan could get!

"Chess"

Music by the men of ABBA plus lyrics by "The Master" Tim Rice equals an 80's Cold War classic!

(Although I did like the London version better. ~_^)

A song from Chess, ("One Night in Bangkok") actually made Top-40 radio. Not bad for a musical dwarfed in the publicity wars by Phantom and Les Mis.
