Video - OCHS Girls Trio Sings 'Survivor'

Bailey Guthrie, Rachel Powell, and Lane Marie Stough of the Class of 2012 were recognized at the May meeting of the Oconee County Board of Education.

Bailey Guthrie, Rachel Powell, and Lane Marie Stough, members of the OCHS Girls Trio, perform their own arrangement of "Survivor" during the May 14 meeting of the school board.

The Oconee County High School Girls Trio, coached by Stacy Blomquist and Jean Bennett, placed third in the Literary 8-AAA state competition.  Lane Marie Stough tied for fourth place in the Girls Solo category.  All three are graduates of the Class of 2012.

Lane Marie Stough plans to pursue music, first at Gainesville and later at the University of Georgia, where she has been accepted into the School of Music. Rachel Powell received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy. Bailey Guthrie plans to major in Special Education at Georgia Southern University.
