Those who drive by the Mars Hill/78 intersection every day have gotten a show as the lot for the new RaceTrac gas station has been cleared, paved and built up over the past few months.

Construction workers punctuated their progress on Thursday afternoon as they lowered the station's sign into place from a large green crane.

Will you change your tank-filling habits when the new station opens? Tell us in the comments.

I might buy my gas there, but I'll still get my breakfast & groceries from A.J.'s, across the road.

Good thought, Phil. Hopefully that'll keep everybody in business.
