Fire officials stated that the owners of the home reported trying to extinguish a small fire in the bedroom.
Twenty five volunteers, three engines, four tankers, a ladder rescue truck, National EMS and the Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.

A structure fire was reported in the 1900 block of Old Bishop Road on Tuesday, Sept. 11. According to the Oconee County Fire Department, an approximately 1,000 square foot home was declared a total loss as a result of the fire.

Oconee County Fire officials stated that the owners of the home reported trying to extinguish a small fire in the bedroom and it got out of hand.

Twenty five volunteers, three engines, four tankers, a ladder rescue truck, National EMS and the Oconee County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
