Man Accuses Neighbor of Stealing Meat from Fridge and other Strange Northeast Georgia News of the Week

There's never a dull moment for law enforcement of Northeast Georgia.

Oconee County Sheriff's deputies discovered a different kind of Easter service early April 8 when they broke up an underage alcohol party. Nine people at a Dogwood Hill residence were cited for underage drinking.

Another man wouldn't stay put with his alcohol, snatching $20 worth of beer in the Dacula Ingles and getting away with it. But the guy who stuffed a bottle of wine down his pants and tried to walk out of the Oconee County Walmart got caught.

In Winder, a man told police his neighbor got away with $25 worth of meat from his refrigerator after he let her in to use the bathroom. Ham, pork chops and bacon were reported missing.

And a Monroe man who was stopped by police in Winder told them the marijuana they found under his seat must have been planted there. In his report, the officer described that as an "unlikely" scenario.
