Second Man Wanted in Oconee Attempted Robbery Captured By Barrow County Sheriff's Office

Michael Anthony Fulcher of Bogart was taken into custody on Wednesday, authorities report.

 

UPDATE 01/26/2012: Oconee County Sheriff say that Michael Anthony Fulcher, 33, of Bogart, is in the Barrow County Detention Center on local charges of forgery for having a white copied Church’s Chicken check with the (pay to the order of) blanked out and a failure to appear warrant out of Winder (In addition to the charges in Oconee County) Fulcher told deputies he knew he was wanted by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office and that he hadn’t turned himself in yet because he was scared. Deputies found multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia and suspected methamphetamine in the apartment and arrested three other people: William Lawrence Stockton, 18, of Loganville, Tabitha Nichole Bernstein, 21, of 137 Quail Valley Road Apt. B, Auburn and Kristi Denise Lance, 33, of 35 Mount Moriah Road, Auburn. 

The second of two brothers from Bogart wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in the Kroger parking lot on Jan. 16 is behind bars.

According to the Oconee County Sheriff's Office, 33-year-old Michael Anthony Fulcher was taken into custody by the Barrow County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday.  Details about the arrest were not immediately available. His brother, Timothy Shane Fulcher, 29, surrendered to authorities on Jan. 19.

The victim in the incident had arranged on Craigslist to meet the two men to purchase an iPhone, but was weary about the meeting and concealed a video camera to capture the transaction on tape, according to earlier reports. Authorities believe the footage shows the men trying to take money from the victim.

Investigators said they were able to obtain still images of the suspects from the video and identify the Fulchers.

A search of state records showed Michael Fulcher previously served time in prison on forgery and burglary charges in Walton County, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Update: On March 12, 2012 Michael Anthony Fulcher was transferred from Barrow County to Oconee County Jail, according to booking reports. He has been charged with attempted robbery.
