Another catalytic converter was stolen on Jan. 2, 2013.

A new year, a similar theft.

On Jan. 2, someone cut and removed a catalytic converter from a 2001 BMW located at Bimmers South Automotive on Ashley Avenue in Bogart, according to an Oconee County Sheriff's Office incident report.

The theft reportedly occurred sometime between 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.  Damage was also done to the vehicle's frame. Additionally, several motor vehicle crates that had been inside a bin near the vehicle were taken.

The converter is valued at $700 and the crates together cost around $150.

At the end of November, a catalytic converter, fifteen radiators/condensers and twelve aluminum intake manifolds were taken from the property. Another catalytic converter was removed from a BMW in late October.
