Baby Dies, Babysitter Wanted for Felony MurderSandy Springs Patch

A severely injured infant boy, who suffered from brain injuries, was taken off life support, Saturday morning, police said. His babysitter Caris Ayala is wanted on felony murder charges. 

Sandy Springs Police Capt. Steve Rose said a Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta social worker notified police on Oct. 5 after the five-month-old boy was brought in by ambulance. He was non-responsive. “He was severely injured either by being shook or severe whiplash,” Rose said. “Something made the child’s brain so injured it caused death.”

Police Offer $1,000 Reward After 89-year-old Woman Bound and RobbedAthens Patch

The Athens Clarke County Police are offering a $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of two Hispanic men accused of being involved in a home invasion. The victim, an 89-year-old woman who was home alone, was tied up and robbed, according to an ACCPD press release.

Toddler in Critical Condition After Being Hit in Head With Falling Tree Limb at Barrow County DaycareBarrow Patch

A Barrow County child was reportedly injured on Monday at Cribs to Crayons Daycare in Winder when a limb nearly 14 feet long and weighing several hundred pounds fell and struck him in the head.
