Oconee Today --- Sept. 24

Free coffee, softball and a Girl Scouts informational meeting.

 

Weather: As we settle into fall we'll see highs in the mid to upper 70s.  The Weather Channel predicts mainly sunny skies with clear skies overnight and lows in the low 50s.

Top things to know:

  • In celebration of national coffee day (Sept. 29), local McDonald's restaurants are giving away free small cups of coffee all week long. Learn more.
  • Learning Express Toys at the Georgia Square Mall hosts a free Storytime at 10:30 a.m. every Monday.
  • An exercise class, line dancing class and bridge game are offered every Monday at the Oconee County Senior Center. Keep up with the latest activities on the Senior Center's website.
  • The Oconee County Library is organizing a costume swap.  Drop off a costume by Oct. 4 and pick up a ticket to return on Oct. 6 and pick out a new one.  Ages 0-11.  See more.
  • North Oconee Softball welcomes Jefferson this afternoon. The JV game starts at 4:30 and the varsity game will follow at 6:30 p.m. Go Lady Titans!
  • Parents and girls interested in learning more about the Girl Scouts are invited to an informational meeting from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Oconee County Library.
