Oconee Today -- Sept. 21

Duplicate bridge, a Rock-a-thon, and high school football are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

 

Weather: The work week comes to a close with mainly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s. Temperatures will cool and settle into the low 70s during high school football games, according to the Weather Channel.

Top things to know:

  • The Athens Banner-Herald reports Athens Regional Medical Center holds a blood drive from noon - 6 p.m.
  • All are invited to play duplicate bridge at the Watkinsville Community Center every Friday at 1 p.m.  Cost is $4.  The group also meets on Tuesdays.
  • Oconee County Middle School band hosts Rock-a-thon from 4-11 p.m. Check out the band's Facebook Page for the latest info.
  • UGA volleyball welcomes Alabama for a 7 p.m. match
