- Today is the final day of qualifying for mayor and city council in . All interested candidates must file a notice of candidacy and pay registration fees by 4 p.m. today.
- Today is First Friday in the city of Watkinsville and runs from 6 to 9 p.m. The event includes food, artist booths and music. There will also be free activities for kids, such as hayrides, a mister tent and a moonwalk.
