Weather: Mostly cloudy skies and high winds are in today's Weather Channel forecast. A high of 57 is expected, so be sure to bundle up before heading out to work or school.
Top things to know:
- Every Tuesday the Rotary Club of Oconee County meets at 7 a.m. in the Watkinsville Community Center for a continental breakfast and presentation. Today's guest speaker is Debra Lowe of the Rotary Foundation. Guests are welcome to attend at a cost of $5 per person.
- Join the ambassadors of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce for a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at Georgia HOSA, Inc., located at 2410 Hog Mountain Road, Suite 105.
- All are invited to play duplicate bridge at the Watkinsville Community Center every Tuesday at 1 p.m. Cost is $4. The group also meets on Fridays.
- Bear Hollow Zoo in Athens hosts a haunted trick-or-treat from 5-8 p.m. Cost is $4 per child.
- Oconee County Commissioners are scheduled to hear from Jeff Benko about a Guaranteed Maximum Price for Farmington Fire Station Project at tonight's meeting. It starts at 7 p.m. at the courthouse. The complete draft of the agenda is attached as a pdf.
