Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp pays a visit to Oconee County. See what else there is to know.

 

Weather: Another pleasant autumn day is ahead. The Weather Channel predicts mainly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 70s. A low of 53 is predicted for overnight.

Top things to know:

  • Every Tuesday the Rotary Club of Oconee County meets at 7 a.m. in the Watkinsville Community Center for a continental breakfast and presentation. Today's guest speaker is Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp. Guests are welcome to attend at a cost of $5 per person.
  • Join the ambassadors of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce for a 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at Parker Plastic Surgery located at 1181 Langford Drive Building 300 Suite 105. 
  • All are invited to play duplicate bridge at the Watkinsville Community Center every Tuesday at 1 p.m.  Cost is $4.  The group also meets on Fridays.
  • The Oconee County High School Chorus presents its fall concert at 6 p.m. at the Civic Center
