Oconee Today -- Nov. 19

Here's what's happening in and around Oconee today.

 

Weather: Partly cloudy skies and a high of 65 degrees is in today's Weather Channel forecast. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 40s.

Top things to know:

  • Holy Yoga Level 1-2 is offered at Mars Hill Baptist Church at from 9 - 10 a.m. The fee is $5 per month and participants are asked to bring a small toy donation to each class.
  • From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the UGA Health Center offers discounted flu shots to UGA students, faculty, and staff their spouses/partners and dependent children 9 and older. $10 for UGA students who have paid fees, $20 for others.
  • Teens are invited to the Thanksgiving Potluck and Book Swap at the Oconee County Library from 6-8 p.m. Fall treats will be provided and a giftcard to Avid Bookshop will be up for grabs.
  • The Oconee County Planning Commission meets at 7 p.m. in the courthouse.  The draft of the meeting's agenda is attached as a pdf.
