Commissioners will consider approval of the FY13 budget following a public hearing tonight. See what else there is to know.

 

Weather: Tropical Depression Beryl brings showers and thunderstorms to the area.  The Weather Channel predicts highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the upper 60s.

Top things to know:

  • Want to start the morning with coffee and a donut?  The Hog Mountain Road location of Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins opens for business at 5:30 a.m. There will be giveaways and samples.  See more.
  • There is no meeting of the Oconee Rotary today.  Weekly meetings resume next Tuesday, June 5 with guest speaker and Incoming Club President James Deaton.
  • Weekly storytime at Oconee County Libary offers more than just books to children between the ages of 2 and 5.  Kids also sing and dance in groups.  Two sessions start at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
  • The Oconee County Board of Commissioners will consider approval of the FY13 proposed budget at its 7 p.m. meeting.  Before a vote takes place, the Board will hold a public hearing.  The complete draft of tonight's agenda is attached as pdf.
