Oconee Today -- May 2

A roundup of happenings in and around Oconee today.

 

1. Mostly sunny skies throughout the will transition into mostly cloudy skies by the evening.  High temperatures will be in the mid 80s, according to forecasts.

2. A couple changes in school leadership begin today. Philip Brown becomes the principal of North Oconee High School, and Judy Marable steps up from assistant principal to principal of Oconee County Middle School

3. The voting period for the Oconee County Sheriff's Office Logo Contest closes at 8 a.m. Sixty-six high school and middle school students in the county submitted entries.

4. The Stadion Classic at the University of Georgia begins today. See the schedule of events for the week.  Tickets may be purchased on-line.

5. A regular council meeting of the Town of Bogart is held on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m.
