Oconee Today -- May 16

A blood drive, state playoff soccer game, and trivia night are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.

 

Weather: Partly cloudy skies are in the Weather Channel forecast for today.  Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. There's a 20 percent chance of an isolatated thunderstorm this afternoon.

Top things to know:

  • Give blood from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Watkinsville Community Center.  The Rotary Club of Oconee is sponsoring a blood drive.
  • The Georgia Museum of Art sponsors "Artful Conversation," an in-depth discussion of Paul Cadmus’s Playground, from 2-3 p.m.
  • The Oconee County High School girls' soccer teams travels to Columbus State University for the final four state playoffs against Columbus High School.  The game begins at 6 p.m. Go Lady Warriors!
  • Wednesday night is Trivia Night at Your Pie Watkinsville.  It begins at 7:30 p.m.
