It's National Flip Flop Day!

 

Weather: Mostly sunny skies will close out the work week.  The Weather Channel predicts highs in the mid 80s and lows overnight dropping into the low 60s.

Observances: Celebrate some interesting things today — it's National Lobster Day, National Flip Flop DayNature Photography Day and Smile Power Day.

Top things to know:

  • Holy Yoga Scult Co-ed is a class open to all interested in learning more about yoga.  Classes are held on Fridays at 9 a.m. at Mars Hill Baptist Church and the fee to participate is $5 per month. Participants are asked to bring a small toy donation for Operation Christmas child to every class.
  • Have you been to a performance of the Rose of Athens Theatre's presentation of "A Comedy of Errors" at Ashford Manor?  If not, there are still opportunities to see the show over the next three days.  See more details
  • Speaking of community theatre, "The Shoemaker" opens at Athens Little Playhouse.  The show begins at 7:30 p.m. For information about tickets, click here.
