Oconee Today -- July 25

A storytelling concert, school supply drive and July 4th Spectacular survey are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee Today.

 

Weather: Mostly sunny skies are in the Weather Channel forecast for today with highs in the upper 90s.  A stray afternoon thunderstorm is possible.

Top things to know:

  • Kim James, Children's Specialist at the Athens-Clarke County Library, will lead a Storytelling concert at Oconee County Library starting at 10:30 a.m.
  • The Ellis Pain Center is collecting school supplies through drive until Aug. 6.  For a list of needed items and dropoff locations, see this announcement.
  • The Oconee County Parks and Recreation Department is asking the community to provide feedback about the Oconee County July 4th Spectacular.  To participate in the anonymous survey, follow this link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/2K98ZX6.  The survey is scheduled to close on Friday.
  • Do you enjoy table tennis?  Oconee County residents can play for $5 on Wednesday evenings at the Oconee Veterans Park.
