Oconee Today -- July 20

See what's happening in and around Oconee County today.

 

Weather: We'll see as 60 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms, mainly in the afternoon, and high temperatures around 90 degrees, according to the Weather Channel.

Top things to know:

  • The Oconee County Development Review Committee meets at 9 a.m. in the Planning Department Conference Room.
  • All are invited to play duplicate bridge at the Watkinsville Community Center every Friday at 1 p.m.  Cost is $4.  The group also meets on Tuesdays.
  • Fun for all will be had at the 8th annual Darius Goes West Carnival at the Body Shop of Athens.  Stop by to ride a camel, get an airbrush tattoo or star in your own music video. Activities are free.
  • Bishop Park Pool is the place for "Splashdown 2012." The free event starts at 7 p.m.
