A CPR class, basketball games, and a government meeting are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.
Weather: Be cautious of patches of fog before 10 a.m. The National Weather Service predicts sunshine and high temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Expect an overnight low around 40 degrees.
Top things to know:
- Learn adult, child and infant CPR and basic first aid at a training at Oconee Pre-School Academy. The three-hour class starts at 6 p.m. and costs $25 at the door.
- In basketball news, North Oconee High hosts Jefferson at 6 p.m., Prince Avenue Christian School takes on Towns County at home at 6 p.m., and the UGA men's team hopes for a win against Kentucky at 9 p.m. in Athens. According to the NOHS Basketball Team's Facebook page, it's Student Appreciation Night. All student tickets are $2. Stevi B's Pizza will provide food and there will be prizes and giveaways.
