Oconee Today -- Dec. 26

Thundershowers continue. A wind advisory goes into effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

 

Weather: Steady rain continues this morning with a chance of thunderstorms, mainly before 10 a.m. The National Weather Service predicts new rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch and gusty winds of up to 35 mph.  A wind advisory goes into effect from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Oconee County government offices reopen today.
  • The Watkinsville and Bogart libraries remain closed today.  They will resume regular hours starting on Thursday.
  • If you're still in a giving mood, stop by Lowe's on Lexington Road or the Clark Crossing Shopping Center in Athens to give blood.  Call 800-RED-CROSS to schedule an appointment.
  • Wednesday night is Trivia Night at Your Pie Watkinsville.  It begins at 7:30 p.m.
