Defensive Driver Training, the NOHS Variety Show and the beginning of Athens Twilight Criterium 2012 are a few of the things to know about in and around Oconee today.
Weather: The Weather Channel predicts a 30 percent chance of isolated afternoon thundershowers. Highs will again be in the mid 80s and drop into the mid 60s overnight.
Top things to know:
- Congratulations to the top 5 percent of the 2012 Class of Oconee County High School. Students will be recognized at a breakfast at the Oconee County Civic Center from 7:30-8:30.
- Voting for this week's Readers' Choice -- Favorite Place to Buy Flowers-- closes at 9 a.m. and the winner will be announced at noon. Click here to vote.
- The Athens Community Council on Aging hosts an AARP Defensive Driver Training at 9 a.m. The price is $12 for members and $14 for non-members. See more.
- Be entertained at the North Oconee High School Variety show. It takes place in the auditorium at 7 p.m.
- From 6-8 p.m. at North Oconee High's stadium, it's movie night for Oconee County Middle and Malcom Bridge Middle students.
