For the most part, voting was running smoothly at the Watkinsville Community Center on Super Tuesday.  It is one of 13 precincts in Oconee County.

As of 5 p.m., 204 of 1,556 eligible voters had cast ballots, according to poll manager Jim Hansen.

Hansen said some voters were confused about which assigned precinct they needed to report to, but other than that, things were going well.

As expected, nearly all of the ballots cast were for the GOP race, but a handful of Democratic ballots were also issued, he said.

Oconee County Observations reported slightly more than 5 percent of the active registered voters in the county voted in advance of today's primary.

Polls close at 7 p.m.  We'll provide updates of results as they become available.

Per Georgia law, no write-ins are allowed in primaries.
