Oconee Docket Book Feb. 13- Feb. 20

The following information was supplied by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

 

Feb. 20

  • A Griffin man, 19, was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, speeding and unlawful use of license.
  • Scott Brian Rushing, 24, of Watkinsville, was charged with cruelty to children in the second degree.
  • An Athens man, 20, was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • A 39-year-old Athens man was charged with pedestrian under the influence.

Feb. 18

  • A 52-year-old Statham woman was charged with DUI and failure to yield.

Feb. 17

  • Sharon Meliss Jacobs, 32, of Comer, was charged with felony identity fraud, felony theft by taking, and twelve counts of forgery in the first degree.
  • A 22-year-old Bishop man was charged with simple battery.
  • A 19-year-old Athens man was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • A 57-year-old Bishop woman was charged with DUI and failure to yield.
  • A Newnan man, 27, was charged with DUI and driving without a valid license and failure to maintain lane.

Feb. 16

  • Joshua Nathaniel Garza, 32, of Athens, was charged with felony theft by shoplifting.
  • Joshua Randall Jones, 25, of Jefferson, was charged with criminal attempt to impersonate a police officer.
  • Shane Michael Nasrallah, 24, of Athens, was charged with criminal attempt to impersonate a police officer.
  • A 44-year-old Fayetteville man was charged with driving without a license and speeding.
  • A 20-year-old Elberton woman was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • A 45-year-old homeless man was charged with public drunkenness.

Feb. 14

  • A 42-year-old Athens woman was charged with misdemeanor theft by shoplifting.
  • Three women were charged in connection with a fight at Wal-mart.

Feb. 13

  • Douglas McArthur Beavers, 47, of Nicholson, was charged with two counts of aggravated stalking, one count of theft by taking, and criminal attempt to commit a crime.  On Feb. 14, Beavers was also charged with probation violation.
