Most of the vehicles were left unlocked, according to the Athens Banner-Herald.

Oconee County Sheriff's investigators and patrol deputies are working together to solve multiple cases of entered autos this week.

Residents of Hunter Trail, Jessica Way, Osceola Avenue, Millstone Run and McNutt Crossing filed reports, according to an article in the Athens Banner-Herald, and most of the vehicles involved were left unlocked.

Everyone should lock the doors to our cars, our homes, etc. doing so won't prevent crime, but it will deter it.

Locking your doors does not mean you have fear... It means you know we live in a fallen world laced with crime. I don't lock my doors because I have fear, I have peace because I lock my doors.
