The North Oconee High School Spanish Honor Society held its third annual Teacher Talent Show March 8 in the school's Fine Arts auditorium.

Finishing in first place was stand-up comedian extraordinaire Principal Philip Brown who, according to Spanish teacher Laura Harrison, "was really, really good and poked good-natured fun at administrators, teachers and students."

Social Studies teacher Richard Rosch's musical talents earned him a second place finish, and counselor Mike Kulp and Coach Brian Bishop's skit, "Back in My Day," placed third.

Other winners were:

  • "What a Great Idea!" Award:  The Dancing Queens (Media Specialist Mindy Doler, Special Education teacher Margie Scaffe and Christy Conley of the Guidance Department)
  • Highest GPA (Greatest Personality Award):  The Wing Three Rappers
  • Star Teachers for their SAT score (Sass And 'Tude):  Math Department Divided by 2, featuring Principal Philip Brown

The Spanish Honor Society is donating half of all proceeds to the Oconee Food for Kids program.
