New Oconee County Father One-Million Dollars Richer After Lottery Win

A stop at Amoco Food Shop on Atlanta Highway led to a lucky turn of events for Jon Mantooth. The 33-year-old Bogart resident recently purchased the instant game 50X The Money ticket and won a $1 million top prize, according to media relations specialist Kimberly Starks with the Georgia Lottery.
Mantooth and his wife, Whitney, looked at the ticket several times after scratching it off, not believing what their eyes were seeing, according to a news release.
“I couldn’t breathe,” Mantooth told lottery officials.
The couple plans to use the winnings to fund their six-week-old daughter's future education.
