It will go down as a memorable comeback. Saturday night in Baton Rouge, La., -- one of the toughest places for a visiting team in college football -- top-ranked Alabama pulled off a stirring 21-17 victory.
Starting from their own 28 with less than two minutes remaining, the Tide drove the distance for the winning TD, a 28-yard screen pass from A.J. McCarron to T.J. Yeldon being the winning blow.
"We told the players they would have to overcome a lot of adversity to win a game here," Bama coach Nick Saban told al.com. "When things went bad and the momentum of the game changed, that's what we kept talking to them about. They kept their poise and we kept playing, we kept competing.

Coupled with Georgia's 37-10 victory Saturday over Ole Miss, this puts the Tide and the Bulldogs on paths to meet in the SEC title game in Atlanta on December 1.
Another interesting factor -- Auburn is the SEC team that has the best chance to play spoiler.
Georgia has to play the Tigers on November 10 in Auburn, and Alabama faces Auburn in Tuscaloosa on November 24. Also, the Tide still has another SEC game before then -- vs. Texas A&M in Tuscaloosa on November 10.
If Alabama rolls on to the SEC title, it will be in a position to win its third national title in four years.
But in this wacky college football season, upsets are possible.
