Funeral Arrangements Announced for Author Julie L. Cannon
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012.
Funeral arrangements have been announced for Julie L. Cannon, 50, of Watkinsville.
Cannon, a beloved local author, died Tuesday at her residence.
"We have been blessed in this life to have lived among such an author. Her ability to craft words which express the innermost depths of the soul is unmatched, and her books will nourish the hearts of many for years to come," the obituary states.

A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the in the fellowship hall, according to Lord and Stephens Funeral Homes.
