Even the First Lady Is Now on Pinterest - Are You?
ABC News recently reported that First Lady Michelle Obama "finally" has a Pinterest account. So how many people even know what a Pinterest account is?
ABC News recently reported that First Lady Michelle Obama is finally on Pinterest. You do know what that is right? Well if not, you’re probably not alone.
According to Ebizmba.com, in a list of the top 15 social media sites, Pinterest doesn’t appear in the first five, 10 or even 15. Orknut 350 at No. 9 and Badoo 952 at No. 15 outranks Pinterest.
But maybe that will change now. Although ABC News is reporting that the First Lady’s account is still a fledgling one with only 15 pins and 1,388 followers, it is likely to pick up as the news gets out. President Obama also has a Pinterest account as does Ann Romney. Her husband, presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, however, does not -- not yet anyway.
Although it still isn't as well known as DevianArt at No. 6 or Ning at No. 11, Pinterest is on its way up the list. Even Patch is on Pinterest.

I have to confess, if it wasn't for Patch I doubt I would have a clue about Pinterest. Fortunately, working for this company has increased my tech knowledge about 300 percent. The problem for me though is finding time to add another addictive social media activity to my already full schedule. Spending some time in the outdoors is high on my list of priorities.

I tend to use Pinterest on the weekends while I'm watching television. I might sit there for three or four hours pinning and not touch it again for a week. I do love looking at all the photos and recipes.

I kept seeing Facebook friends post about Pinterest and finally checked it out a couple months ago. I lie in bed and pin from my phone late at night when I can't sleep. I like the pet photos and humor section. I also like the DIY and crafts suggestions but have only finished one Pinterest-inspired project. And it was pretty easy and quick. I'll post a pic.

Sometimes in this heavy economy (and political season) it is nice to lighten the mood a bit. We've had some pretty heavy debates lately - this is one that is a little more "fluffy."
