Pebble Stone Drive Residence Burglarized
A K-9 unit with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office assisted in the search for the culprit last Wednesday, but no arrest was made.
A resident of in the 1100 block of Pebble Stone Drive left her residence at 7 p.m. on Nov. 28 for about 45 minutes and when she returned she found her front door open. Two flat screen televisions and a lap top were taken, according to an incident report.
Deputies checked the outside perimeter and found on the ground one of the stolen TVs , the laptop and the screen from the front bedroom window, which was processed for fingerprints. A K-9 unit also checked the area. The stolen property has an estimated value of $1,100.
Also under investigation by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office are the following incidents:
- Sometime between 5:10 and 8:20 p.m. on Nov. 27, someone entered a residence on Landrum Drive. The victim said he arrived home to discover someone had kicked in the front door and taken several electronic items.
- Management of AJ's food store on Nov. 27 reported to deputies that an employee had been stealing cash from the till and altering charges made by customers to pocket the difference. The thefts reportedly occurred between Feb.14, 2011 and Nov. 13, 2012.
- A shoplifting suspect at Bell's on Dec. 2 removed most of the items she'd concealed in her purse, but fled the store with a $7 laundry detergent scent booster still inside. The woman was already gone when deputies arrived.
- Four double-paned windows were shot out at 2500 Daniels Bridge Road building 200 sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 30 and 8:48 a.m. on Dec. 1. The damage is estimated at more than $500.
