A Bishop woman is accused of nabbing electronics, jewelry and other valuables from her family members and selling them to a pawn shop, according to an investigator with the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.

Stephanie Gail Rodriguez, 31, was picked up on Sunday on a warrant charging her with three counts of first degree burglary, Cpl. Dave  Stauffacher said.

Relatives told deputies they began to notice items missing from their homes after Rodriquez would visit, he said.  The thefts allegedly occurred at three different residences over the course of the last month.

"She would either come over or remain after [the victims] left and help herself to their stuff," he said.

Using an online pawn shop database, Stauffacher said he learned the items had been sold.

"She pawned all of it, using her real name," he said. "All of it. Every bit of it.  Plus some stuff [the victims] didn't realize went missing."

Pawned items included a class ring with someone else's name engraved on it and various electronics like a laptop computer and flat screen television.  Stauffacher estimates the collective value of the stolen items at about $3,000.

Deputies were able to recover everything that had been pawned and return it to the victims, he said.

As of noon on Tuesday, Rodriguez remained at the jail, according to records.
