Winner of Logo Contest Announced

  • May 2, 2011

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office now bears a new logo on their Facebook page

Winner Martha Peck's brown, white, and yellow design was selected by voters through a Logo Contest, the Sheriff's Office announced on Monday.

Not only does the winning logo appear on Facebook, it will also be displayed in the Sheriff's Office as well as on other OCSO items. Peck, a junior at Athens Academy, also scored a prize worth $100.

A total of 66 entries designed by Oconee County high school and middle school students were submitted to the contest in April. Voting ended at 8 a.m. on May 2.

"We are pleased with the logo and appreciate all of the citizen involvement," said Lee Weems, chief deputy of the Oconee County Sheriff's Office.
