The Oconee Youth Playhouse will be presenting "Legally Blonde: The Musical" at the Oconee County Civic Center in January 2012.

This musical production is based on the popular movie featuring Reese Witherspoon.The musical casts 66 members led by North Oconee High School senior Jackie Raye who plays Elle Woods.

Supporting cast members include the following:

• NOHS senior Collier Cobb as Paulette
• UGA graduate student Josh Darnell as Warner
• Joseph Hitchcock (who majored in vocal performance at UGA) as Emmett
• NOHS senior Kalyn Hardman as Brooke Wyndham
• Athens Academy junior Rachel Bonet as Vivienne
• OCHS sophomore Rachel Wolfe, Prince Avenue Christian sophomore Anna Cail and Athens Academy sophomore Shannon Hodgson as Delta Nu sorority sisters

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Jan. 6-7 and Jan. 13-14. There will be a 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday, Jan. 15.

Tickets will be on sale in the lobby of the Civic Center one hour prior to show time and cost $12 to $16 each.
