The Oconee County Sheriff's Office has announced Deputy Frank Smith was named the 2011 OCSO Patrol Division Deputy of the Year.
The award was given during a ceremony on Dec. 22.
Sergeant Shane Partain received the Medal of Valor.

Congrats to these deputies but shame on Sheriff Berry for promoting violence and the private ownership of military assault rifles like those used to kill children in Newtown and elsewhere. He apparently is not a law enforcement officer but is a paid political shill of the NRA.
