Our Senior team and Junior team won the Classic City Super Bowl Saturday at East Athens Park in the 13U and 11U divisions.  Our 6U Gold Midget team lost the Championship, but had an outstanding year! This is the first time OCYFL has sent three teams to the Northeast Georgia Youth Football Championship. There are 32 teams in the NEGYFC, we placed 1st in two divisions and second and third in another.

Jamal Davis Scored one touchdown, Mac Channel Caught a two point conversion, Jack Mangel scored two touchdowns and Wesley Wilson Jr made a game saving tackle as time expired on the ten yard line during a trick play that had five different laterals. Senior pulled it our 22-20 and avenged a previous loss. The Senior Packers traveled trough the losers bracket while defeating the three teams that beat us in the regular season. During their trip through the losers bracket, the senior Pack beat and broke the AYA Trojans three year undefeated streak.  All regular season losses were within five points.  Carter Colquitt recorded 6 tackles and was the defensive player of the game.

The Junior Packers capped their undefeated season by winning the Classic City Super Bowl over the CYA Raiders 21-12. Kurt Knisely put the Packers on the board first with a 25 yard touchdown in the second quarter. Knisely finished the game with 102 yards on 19 carries. With
55 seconds left in the second quarter, Stan Lacksen connected with Blaine Thompson for a 15 yard touchdown pass on 4th and 12. Stan Lacksen finished the Packers scoring with a 40 yard touchdown run with two minutes left in the game.Throughout the season the Junior Packers
outscored their opponents 214-61.

The Gold Midgets lost a hard fought game 21-14 vs the East Athens Dolphins.
