Oconee County Sheriff's Office is conducting a raffle to raise money for "Deputies to D.C." to participate in Police Week activities, where deputies will escort families of fallen officers.

The prize is a Colt AR-15.  Raffle tickets are $10 each and are available at the Sheriff's Office during business hours.   If you are unable to stop by to purchase tickets, email Lt. Attaberry at gattaberry@oconeesheriff.org.

The drawing will be on May 7, 2011 at Clyde Armory. According to the Sheriff's Office, the winner does not have to be present; however, if the winner is present, Clyde Armory will give the winner an additional $300 worth of merchandise.

All laws regarding firearms transfers apply, the Sheriff's Office says.
