North Oconee Competition Cheer places 4th in State!

Congratulations to the North Oconee competition cheerleaders for an outstanding performance and finish at the GHSA state championship. The girls scored a 279, highest in school history, made it to the floor for the fifth year in a row (only top 6 are called to the floor), and placed 4th (highest NOHS has ever placed!).
The 2012 team finishes their season with 3 regular season wins, an 8AAA Region championship, and a 4th place finish, meeting every one of their goals that they set back in August.
Senior cheerleaders are Kayla Anderson, Sabrina Bodie, Olivia Brown, Morgan Coker, Alayna Hoag, Jordan Looney, and Erin Parker. Juniors are Mary Beth Hall, Samantha Lanthier, Kate Rider, and Taylor Whitehead. Sophomores are Caroline Brown, Mary Katherine Ogletree, Bailey Osborne and Jordan Self. Freshman are Sarah Cofer, Alexa Phillips and Paris Phillips. The team is coached by Crystal Melton and Karie Turpin.
