Lost Greyhound FOUND

  • July 19, 2012

Thank you to all who helped look for our greyhound Daisy! Your efforts have led to finding Daisy! She was 7 miles from our home, had crossed Oconee River, and had lost half of her normal weight. We are grateful to live in such a caring community! Thank you Oconee County! Lauren Whalen

I am so thrilled to hear Daisy has been found, even though she is thin and weak. Some good food, some extra treats, loving care by her family and the grace of God she is home where she belongs. Poor baby - she is so thin, but I've seen Greys in such condition and they are survivors, very strong-willed and have a greyt desire to continue to live for their family. Congratulations on finding her just in time. Sending healing prayers for her continued improvement.

For weeks every time I looked at my Daisy (greyhound) I would think of yours. With each 90 degree + day and awful storm I would worry about your girl. Words cannot express the joy in my heart that she is now home and safe with you.

THRILLED for you! And....having had my own lost pets, I HIGHLY recommend the Pet Safe radio fence and PROPER TRAINING to accompany the fence. Neither my dog, Jack, nor my cat, Alfie, ever leave our yard now because of the fence. Boundaries can be good. They still have 4 acres on which to run at play freely without danger. Home Depot has the best price on the kit and extra wire. The cat collar is only available on line. Kisses to Daisy!

Last year, we fostered an abandoned greyhound that was so emaciated we didn't know if he would survive the night. But with small meals of chicken and rice every 2 hrs through the night he pulled through and is now doing very well in his new forever home. Daisy will recover and gain her weight back in no time. I'm so thankful you have her back home and I know she's very happy to be home. Never give up hope. God does answer prayers. She is so pretty..please give her a hug from me.

Yay! As a person who lost her baby earlier this year and was reunited with her, I know exactly what you are feeling and going through. It is an awesome feeling to have your baby back at home, safe and sound. So happy for Daisy and her family.
