Local Government Officials to Discuss TSPLOST at Meeting of Oconee Democratic Committee
Oconee County Chairman Melvin Davis and Watkinsville Mayor Joe Walter will briefly address the Oconee County Democratic Committee meeting 7:30 pm Thursday, April 21 at the Jittery Joe's in Watkinsville concerning the projects on the T-SPLOST ballot for 2012.
The pair of leaders will also answer any questions from the audience. All people are invited to attend regardless of political affiliation or geographic location of residence. Attendees are asked but not required to purchase a drink from Jittery Joe's. Members discuss political topics informally beginning at 7 p.m.
The Oconee Democratic Committee will once again assist with the clean-up of Watkinsville during an as-of-yet undetermined weekend in May. The group may also participate in the second go-round in a friendly competition against the Oconee County Republicans to see who can gather the most trash in attempts at keeping the county seat clean.
